Harmony Clinic

Harmony Clinic

Our vision is to improve the life expectancy for the hard to reach in the community, by partnering with health agencies, to deliver care close to their familiar settings.

ABOUT HARMONY CLINIC

Harmony Clinic, a subsidiary of Harmony Community Projects (HCP), has been running in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham since 2009. We have a core team of eight (8) Clinicians, four directors and three admin support, besides our pool of other health professionals. We hold outreach programmes to carry out 2 weekly health checks at the adult college (Barking), 2 weekly checks at Dagenham Library, (last held in March 2020 due to COVID). We also carry out health checks at special events like, the yearly Valence Day events, the Barking and Dagenham Fair, Armed Forces events day, the Queens Jubilee Celebration.

In addition, we ran weekly exercise sessions on Saturdays up until March 2020, when the COVID lockdown stopped all activities.

More recently, with the COVID-19 pandemic, we have held frequent workshops as well as Q&A sessions on the impact of Covid-19 in BAME. One of such is still available on YouTube - https://youtu.be/13qi4VMlyzw.

We successfully ran the CVD clinics for over 40s in Barking and Dagenham for three (3) years. Between 2011 and 2014, our health check service had good uptake with the hard-to-reach population such that it featured us in ONEL newsletter as a standard of good practice.
